Lyon County Emergency Communications Center (LCECC) is recruiting career-minded individuals to join our staff as a Communications Officer, starting at $18.44/hour.

We serve the highly respected Lyon County Sheriff’s Office, Emporia Police Department, Emporia Fire Department, Lyon County/Emporia EMS, six rural fire departments, and other Lyon County agencies, which use state of the art equipment and modern tactical response techniques. We have both advancement and expansion opportunities for those who have the desire to excel with our training, full-time benefits, and shift schedule.

Driver’s License and High School Diploma or GED required. Aggressive pay incentives exist for this position with training and initiative. Lyon County offers a complete benefits package including health insurance, uniforms, earned vacation and sick time, and much more.

LCECC operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week, weekends and holidays included. All employees may work nights, weekends, holidays, and/or varied shifts.Employment of this position requires successful completion of pre-employment background, physical, work screen, and polygraph examinations, and participates in the random drug and alcohol screening program.
